Has anyone had HSBC report their LOC moving over to Citizens yet?
I still show an HSBC LOC with a balance - it has not updated on any of the CRAs yet
i want it to report, then i will close out the Citizens acct entirely
what a crazy situation - we all know about the poor communication on this transition
My HSBC Gold card stayed with HSBC - no idea why, but fine - i will keep it and let it age
My LOC and Checking account moved to Citizens
i opened up the online access - made sure everything was setup
issue number 1 was that i read that after 4 months they start charging for the checking -something like $14/mnth without qualifying deposits
this wont work for me, as i have enough free checking accts - i dont need to dump money into one artificially
i called last week to close the checking - no discussion - just a "We have closed your Account"
I notice that on my LOC, which has a terrible Apr by the way, my Balance Available is zero
i wait a month to see if there are going to be any updates - there arent, and the acct hasnt reported to any of the CRA's yet
also - my HSBC hasnt reported an update - so i have a balance of $5660 showing, that was paid off in Feb.... grrrr
so i called Citizens today - asked why it was a zero balance available - no good answer - asked to close it - again - " Please confirm you want to close it" answer yes - done
It seems to me they wanted the Book of Business - but not really
anyone else have a fairly negative experience with their HSBC transition?
