When I logged in today I noticed a banner that said there is a $50 referral bonus for signing up friends and family etc (membership qualifications apply of course) good through 5/31 if anyone is interested.

+1
Excellent catch!
It appears they are giving $50 to both the referring member and the new member... which makes it even better!

I had 'Adjustment - Cr $50' this morning as well, so I believe I also earned the referal bonus.
I heard their add on the radio this morning, and it seemed like it only works if the referrer is Active Duty Military. Not sure if I heard that correctly or not,.
edit: reading that banner pic fine print, it seems like you just need to be a member to get the referral bonus...
Can anyone confirm that the bonus is given to both the referral, and the referree?
Also, how long did it take to receive the promotional $50 from when the online application was completed online?
Just did this today for my spouse
Thanks!
Yes, bonus to both.
My Dad joined, bonus for him and me. My wife joined under my number, bonus for her and me.

"Invite the armed forces personnel, DoD civilians and contractors, and their dependents in your life to join Navy Federal Credit Union. Refer up to five people, and you'll each get $50 when they join.*"
So this only works for military and their dependents, not their family members, correct? It doesn't work for anyone eligigle to join. So was your wife a dependent?
I am a civilian who was able to join because my retired dad has a pension with the military. I guess making me a military dependant. My wife has no military affiliation aside from being married to a military brat (term used for military kids).
Just wanted to provide you the roadmap for eligibility I/we used.
