Re: NLUS San Diego alive and well

Found an old link for the Prime Meridian page on USAFed's site that obviously no longer exists from an old thread on fatwallet BUT looks like archive.org has an archived version!!!!!!!!

This is the thread I found it from

Guyatthebeach may I ask if your regular checks were free or do you pay for them. I usually order checks that support ASPCA but if they are free....I can just keep my Chase Checks for that. Sorry getting away from topic....thanks

Wizdog1,

I got the plain blue ones that are free when I opened a totally free checking account. I think they offer discounts on other checks.

So far I'm impressed with the checking account. I've made 2 deposits in the branch and they were credited immediately. I will be to scan a deposit or deposit via the mobile app after 30 days.

Life's a beach!

Re: NLUS San Diego alive and well

How do you get a free box of checks? I got sent 5 starter checks but that was it.

I don't ever use checks but nice to have if I ever do need them, for something.

Hi there Royalbacon, if you have online access you just log in and go to the tab that I think says services, anyway it allows you to do everything in the world. Click on order checks for regular checking. That's as far as I got because system is shut down for maintenance. Their website looks very easy to maneuver.

Re: NLUS San Diego alive and well

Got my NLUS member card and pin in the mail today and went online to check my account.  Sure enough, I was listed as being in the San Diego Council.  Not that I expectex otherwise, but to note they do take a couple of weeks to fully process memberships.  I joined on 6/5 and had no problem joining NFCU immediately thereafter by sending a copy of the NLUS welcome email and a copy of the card payment.

Re: NLUS San Diego alive and well

Submitted application for membership yesterday as it is only a TU pull.. Yet to be pulled TU.. Was hoping for it to be one of the quicker ones, but got this email today... Appears I might of got stuck in verifiction or something or maybe it is normal.  Just interesting hearing some people get same day by this method while others got to wait a few.. Appears to be later of the two.

Re: NLUS San Diego alive and well

Hi there, did you apply online or print out a paper app? You cannot apply online by way of NLUS, they will kick it back. Once you fill out paper app email or fax that along with both pages of welcome letter from NLUS to membershipdocs@navyfederal.org. They prefer email to fax and are processed faster this way. However if you have done this I don't know what the hold up is. Please keep us posted CreditCuriosity.
