Well, this is my situation. I've my Credit Union checking as primary and BofA Checking as secondary. Nothing wrong with either of them but Chase and Citi have been wooing me with offers ranging from $100 to $300 for direct deposit enabled checking account.
Any ideas from esteemed members here?
Split up your direct deposit and do both. Make sure to do the minimum to avoid monthly fees, then close them once they've been open long enough to meet the bonus requirement.
I think I have 7 checking accounts right now . . lol.
There's really no wrong choice here since it will all come down to preference and/or which bank has the most branches next to you. Other than that, it's really up to you.
Personally I like having multiple products with the major commercial banks so I would choose which bank I have credit cards or other bank accounts with. It sometimes makes it easier to get their other products in the future should you decide to do so.
Good luck to you!
