No, you just need to make a modest donation to one of several charities.

When I joined last year I did it all online so that is an option
What is considered a modest donation?
I see a lot of threads on this forum about PenFed , the majority being really good, especially for the credit cards. How are they in your opinion to the ones who have Credit cards and accounts?

I think it was $10 or $15.
Well worth it to become a PenFed member, IMHO.
Is it true that they pull Equifax for the membership? And will use the same HP if you app for one of their credit cards?

They pull EQ9. Expect hard pull for membership. Expect another hard pull for CC application.
Let us know how it goes. I've been looking into maybe becoming a PenFed member myself!
