I was looking at Service CU (https://servicecu.org/) because they have a Euro transfer service that's possibly cheaper than through a bank.  However, they say: "Service Credit Union membership is open to those living or working in the state of New Hampshire or the Falmouth, MA area (defined as Falmouth, Bourne, Mashpee and Sandwich, MA) and their families. Also eligible are active duty military, veterans and their families, and those who are working (or worked) for the Department of Defense, as well as their families."

Does anybody know if "families" is immediate family?  Both my grandfathers served, but neither of my parents did.

@Anonymous  I was able to join via my deceased maternal grandfather

Thanks for all of the info in this thread!

@Anonymous  Thank you!

@EverForward, Thank you!

Very simple process, one of the better CU websites to navigate, great security features!

I made a phone call to inquire about CC's, I had no wait timeSmiley Happy

Some have complained about log-in, just use member # and the pin you picked on the regular log in screen. (simple)

Nice APR rate up to $500
