Had a chargeoff from TD Bank in 2012 and because of that I'm in the CS now.
Are their any banks that will let you open an account in you're in the CS?
Golden One CU does not use Chexsystems. I did not even know I was on Chexsystems until recently when I tried to open an account with Alliant One to set up the secured share loan. Before Alliant, I opened both checking and saving with Golden One and had no problem.
This is interesting. After I filed for BK and since I was ordering other credit reports, I got my Chex report. I did not expect to see anything on it since I hadn't had any bank account problems. The only thing on my report was Wells Fargo and they reported a check order from when I opened a checking account with them that was required as part of getting a mortgage loan.
umm you said it was from 2012??
ChexSystem deletes 5 years after, with it being December 2017 I think you should be more concerened to why its still there.
When I wnt into TD bank yesterday that's what the rep pulled up.
So maybe it'll come off come the new year?
I opened my bank account with PNC with marks on CHEX. They make you take some sort of (short) class about good banking relations and techniques. There is a $100 a day limit on transiactions with the debit card. After 6 months of positve transiactions, they graduate you to a normal Virtual-Wallet account.
Many banks will offer you a Second Chance Checking account if you dings on a Chex Report. Usually after 6 - 12 you can then get a regular account at that same bank.
So I went to PNC as mentioned and was able to open an account with no problem and no need to take that online course!
Thank you for yor imput!
