Using Secured Cards To DECREASE Utilization?

Would opening several secured cards with $1000-10000 limits and not using them be a worthwhile way to reduce utilization and boost score?

If you can afford a 10k deposit for a secured card, you probably shouldn't have a utilization problem to begin with.  Maybe just ask your creditors for CLIs instead to help with buffering.

Always better to just airstrike the current balances.

~20% interest on charges >>>>> interest gained on the underlying deposit on the secured card.

Just bad math financially, and if I had to do it over again I would've just done the absolute minimums on my secured cards, picked up 3 and a secured loan and called it a day.
