What CU to join, now that I can't join NFCU

Since they changed the rules about joining NFCU, what CU is the best to join?

Which are the most BK friendly, and has tools that could help rebuild credit after Bk?

Thanks.

Here are some threads which you can consider reading.

First read the initial post of "Scupra's" Bankruptcy Friendly Credit Cards, which was last edited 02/13/2017, as it includes critical information on cards from most vendors.

Best Wishes!!!

Re: What CU to join, now that I can't join NFCU

I belong to NFCU, PENFED, DCU, Congressional FCU and kind of Dept of Labor FCU (I closed out all accounts, but they keep mailing me everything as if I was active).

Anyway, I'd rank DCU first (service, rates, credit products) NFCU is brand new for me (1 month) and their rates seem higher than DCU, their "clearing of deposits and payments" slower than DCU, but their credit limits are very nice. CFCU credit rates are higher cost, but I have a nice CL on their Visa and they are close at work. PenFed, been a member over 40 years, when we crashed and burned in 2005-2008 we fell behind on sevel loans (30-60's) which were caught up ASAP - nothing went over 60 days and we were behind for no more than 3-4 months before we caught up - PenFed is very VERY unforgiving for any "ding" - I have no use for them today other than a second mortgage they carry on my house.

Note that our (DW & mine) scores are all high 700's to low 800's over $500k in unsecured CL combined, good income - no derogs in over 10 years. I have deposit accounts in 6 differnt banks and CU's - when I/we retire in a few years we'll keep 2 which will be DCU and probably NFCU.
