here in Atlanta, the Disneyland of liquor stores gives you quite a significant discount if you use cash or debit, so I always use my debit card there... discount is larger than any reward you'd get out of a credit card so it naturally makes sense... otherwise, only if I ever need cash back before going out so I don't have to make a separate trip to the ATM... those are the only two times that I can think of...
Now that I have [more than enough] credit, I never use my debit card except to get cash out at the ATM (which is only about a few times a year, I rarely need cash). I like getting cash back.
A couple years back when BOA had the AK airlines debit card I used it a lot. But since I've got reward cards I have not used it like everyone else, only when I need cash. If the bring back the points for using it, it might be worth it.

Right, this is when meeting min swipes makes a lot of sense
It looks enticing.. 3% on a checking account? That's crazy... (or at least that's what was quoted to me.. the savings account rate was only 1.31, but still that's pretty high for savings accounts. Seems weird that it would be 3% on a checking account. Thinking about doing it, because right now I'm parking some money and it's not making much of anything! lol
I was one of those who used to use my debit card for everything...until I learned about the rewards you can get with credit cards. It's so great. Now I only use debit for ATM withdrawals.

So no, I don't use my debit card except to get cash inside my bank or via the drive thru.
Ive actually confiscated a few scanner and transmitter units from ATMs over the past couple of years. Pay close attention to your ATMs everyone.
I use my debit sometimes. It depends where I am on the statement cycle of my other credit cards. If I've paid down a card and am waiting for it to report I may use the debit for a day or two. I've been lucky enough to only really use it at places that accept Apple Pay so I know at least the card number the retailer received was encrypted.
Me! I just used mines today...at an ATM...at the bank...
Obviously, CC's are the preferred method of electronic payment for their rewards points. It's also for the peace of mind that any fraudulent transactions can be dealt with much easier than if it were to happen with my debit card. Once that money is gone from your checking, it's pretty hard to get back.
