Your one biggest goal of 2020

I know we are 52 days into the year already, however curious to hear what is/was your one primary personal finance goal for 2020, and how are you doing progressing towards it thus far.

For me - purchasing a new home (completed late January), and now paying down revolving debt to 15-20% overall before the holidays.

Road to rebuilding starts soon

Pay off my revolving balances and stay in the garden.

I have paid down from $4223 12/30 to $2305 and my last app was in October so I'm doing fine. 👍

Re: Your one biggest goal of 2020

My biggest goal to is to garden until my youngest account is 1 year (minimum) and get to under 5/24 for a Chase card. The Chase card is not a definite, but I'll be 4/24 in September and 3/24 in October, so I wouldn't have to wait too much longer after my garden goal. PLUS, all of my auto inquiries will age out in November, so I should be seeing some really nice scores by then.

Re: Your one biggest goal of 2020

I was hoping for a quieter year with no large purchases...  and we've already blown that.  Smiley Sad

January was AWESOME in debt reduction, but one large purchase will make February a net zero me thinks, and March isn't looking good either.   DD#2 is needing some help with wheels...

I'd just be happy to see our debt go DOWN EVERY month...

Going to go for a new vehicle at some point. Holding myself to a minimum of a 25% down payment before I pull the trigger but I've been saving and am already getting close. Congrats on closing on a home, OP! That's a heck of a financial accomplishment!

Re: Your one biggest goal of 2020

I have 2 remaining negatives due to fall off at the end of the year. So my biggest goal this year is to have a clean report finally.

Re: Your one biggest goal of 2020

If I can, somehow, come up with $65,000, my FICOs would all be in the 820's, at least.  And I would be nearing 900 in the auto and credit-card enhanced scores.   As it stands now, my highest is Experian's auto-enhanced score, which is at 846.
