Got my TU alert "Derogatory Account Removed" (it was an old Collection Account about 5.5 years old according to my paper TU file)
The account was set to fall off May of 2020 Or so I thought
I didn't dispute it, request anything from them regarding it etc. "I just let it sit, because I didn't want to nudge it and risk a mess!"
TU was the only CRA reporting it also - so now I have 'zero' CA's on my Credit Files. (I DV/PFD the other one I had last month and that thing was set to remain until 2024 )
That +26Pts was like !!
congratz on the clean reports and fico boost.
Thanks OL644 but I still have three charge off's on my files here are the drop off dates according to my TU paper CR file.
1 = May 2019 fall off
1 = August 2019 fall off
1 = Oct 2020 fall off
1 = Jan 2022 fall off (zero bal PIF Charge off)
So after August this year I'll be looking a bit better overall but sill a way's to go before I can have a 'clean file'.
Congrats on the removal and the increase.👍
IMHO, I would contact TU and ask for EE(Early Exclusion) on those 2 that are due to fall off May and August.
Early Exclusion time and Bureaus
EX @ 3 months
TU @ 6 months
EQ @ 1 month
Always worth a shot to see if they qualify for EE.
Hope that helps some...
Good luck and keep us posted if you were able to have them EE.🤞
Just make sure you ask for a supervisor when you call! I called and spoke to one of the front line CSR's about an EE for my last collection who had no idea what I was talking about and said they don't remove things early. Called back and asked to speak with a supervisor and it was deleted within like hours! Then it just randomly fell off my EX report without me requesting anything. But yeah, always ask for a supervisor!
Collections can be removed in one or two ways, and removal does not necessarily mean it was due to early exclusion by the CRA.
The debt collector could also have reported deletion to the CRA, which is different than credit report exclusion.
It is probably more likely, based on the collection not being within the normal CRA early exclusion period, that it was deleted by the debt collector rather than excluded by the CRA.
Perhaps the debt collector had their collection authority terminated for some reason, which is basis for their reporting deletion to the CRA,,,,
