I had an AMEX charge off. I paid through their mandated CA. I then emailed the Chairman's office for a GoodWill Delete. One of the exec's responded to me and indicated someone from the office would contact me. I was told that AMEX doesn't do a goodwill delete and the blemish will remain on my credit report until it expires in 2024. Others here had success with that tactic, but it didn't work for me.
