Anybody have any luck with a pfd with Applied Bank recently?

I have read on this board and others that sending a DV letter(Improper for an OC I know) will result in a pfd response.  Now all the post discussing this are 2-4 years old so wondering if that still works.. Or if anybody else has some contact info on who they have dealt with. Please PM if you can help.
