Asking for PFD?

Should this be done by phone or mail a letter?  Any other input is greatly appreciated!

I am helping someone else with their credit and there's quite the list.  We are going to start DV'ing and then try PFD's.  I was just wondering what the best method for this was.  I never did it with any of my own baddies.

Also should you wait to DV until you have the money to pay for it?  None of these are new collections.  Will it cause any issues if they validate and come to you for payment immediately?

Re: Asking for PFD?

You can ask for a PFD by phone, mail, or email.

The only time it could be an issue in sending a DV is if the debt is still within suing SOL.  If they validate and you can't pay they may sue.

I'll have to look into that.  Some are OK some are WY.

Re: Asking for PFD?

SOL generally goes by the state you currently reside in.  The creditor can choose either but you can only be sued in your state.

Ok/  I'll check into it.  I'm pretty sure they are all medicals.
