If i add a person as an Authorized User will the creditor do an inquiry on them?

Re: Authorized user Hard inquiry

I was wondering this myself.  And if the AU's credit is not as good as mine, will that reflect poorly on my scores or how the creditor treats my account in terms of CLI, etc.?

I have not heard yet that adding an AU requires a hard inquiry.

Re: Authorized user Hard inquiry

IME there is no hard pull to add an AU. And the credit history of the person who is the AU has no effect on the primary card holder's credit.

Does that make sense? It doesn't look right when I read it.

It looks right to me.

No hard pull for AU.

AU's credit history does not impact primary person.
