I recently missed a payment on my credit card because I thought I had autopay enabled. I didn't realize until my credit report updated as 30 days late. I’m applying for a mortgage soon so this really couldn’t have come at a worst time. I emailed the CEO and a few days later received a call from someone at the credit reporting team. They decided to remove the late payment.
My credit reports already updated. I’m really surprised I was successful on my first try because I have seen how hard it is to get a goodwill adjustment from them. They even have a spot on their website saying they won’t do it. I’m guessing my long history with them lead to their decision. I’ll take it. Thank you Bank of America.
