Bank of America MBNA question

I have a collection that I am making payments on that is an old BofA sold to MBNA. I have seen that many of these BofA collections are coming off reports. Has anyone had a settled account fall off their credit report? I'm wondering what the chances are that this might happen. Thanks.

My understanding of this is that BoA has agreed to delete charged off accounts that are sold to a third party, not accounts that are paid/settled.
