Hi,
I'm trying to determine the DOFD being reporting on a couple CA but having trouble. I've subscribed to creditchecktotal.com, quizzle.com, creditscore.com but none of them clearly show this date. What is the best source to determine the DOFD being reporting for your accounts?
Thanks!
Mike
Call the CRA's they can tell you
Only EQ has the DoFD. TU and EX have drop off dates.
But DaBears is right. Call the CRAs.
Thanks for the responses guys!
I was hoping someone would tell me about a credit monitoring service that provides better details.
For example:
Your reports from the 3 CRA's have the best and most detailed as it does come from them. 3rd party credit reports are not very accurate.
If you cant get the definitive DOFD from your credit report, send a formal request to the CRA under FCRA 609(a)(1), which requires the CRAs to provide, upon request and with proof of identity and payment of the processing fee (currrently $11.00), any information in their credit file.
Identity the item being sought as the "FCRA Compliance Date/Date of First Delinquency" reported by the debt collector.
