I sent a GW letter to BofA requesting a 30 day late be removed. I received it yesterday confirming they will contact the bureaus. My question is, should I send my copy of the letter to the bureaus also or should I just trust the process that it will indeed happen? It said it may take up to 60 days to see the changes in the reports. I'm trying to time it up right with a mortgage. Pretty excited...thanks, grey.
It should be done within a day or so. I had BofA do a manual update and it reflected the same day on EX but a day or so for TU/EQ. Probably best to wait for them to update, if you initiate a dispute it could delay everything.
The more recent the late, the bigger the score jump but I have no idea how much it could be. I don't know for sure but I think it would generate an alert since the account is getting updated, presumably the balance might also update since it's a new update and thus trigger an alert/score change that way. No idea but let us know.
Did you send

the GW letter snail mail or through their website?
following up. It appears I got a 19 point bounce for having this 30 day late from BofA removed per MyFICO. The late was last Sept on a CC. I also had a 30 day late removed from an unsecured loan from the same month with a local bank. That was removed earlier and seemed to result in a 10 point bounce. I have quickly gotten up to a 709 as a result of working hard on my Goodwill letters and getting my utilization down. thanks everyone....grey
