I have only one collection on my CR. I was able to get in contact with them today over the phone, I contacted one of the VP's of the company and we worked it out to get deleted, He said it got submited electronically, I have a confirmation from him in an e-mail. Is there a way for me to call a bureau and verify that they have recived the request? He said it should take 7-10 buisness days.
I'd just wait. If you have confirmation via email and he said he was going to do it, he's probably going to do it. Give it a week and pull your report.
"Hey Tyler,
Sorry for the inconvenience. I can tell you that we did submit the item to be removed and it usually takes 7-10 business days to the credit bureaus to correct. It was sent out Sunday morning electronically."
This is what he sent me after the phone call with him. Look ok? This is a VP of the company, so I think its safe to assume it is going to happen.
Looks good to me.
I would say you scored on this one, it will take a few days to update through the e-oscar system. Grats
The only thing that is kind of odd about it is that they said it was put in for deletion on sunday, I didnt even contact them about the matter until Monday, and didnt speak with them till this morning. Is there any situation where a CA would ask for a delete anyway?
Im hoping ill know when it leaves by watching my score watch. Does it update the score daily?
A score jump will depend on the age of the collection as well. Of course, a removal is always BEST, no matter if you receive a few points or a lot!
Congrats! I have received these types of agreements, where they have entered the item into e-oscar for more rapid deletion. Standard deletion is a longer process. I would not call the bureaus, just check your reports in a week or a week and a half. Don't worry, it'll go through. Keep your email in case you have to follow up with CRA's, but there should be no problem with this.
Be happy & relax. I can say this because it's not me waiting. ;-) Impatience must be temperred. Believe me, I have to remind myself of that constantly. I am the worst offender.
Ok long story short...I have a collection just appeared on my credit in march 2014, from collection agency for $34.00, shows on report original creditor is dish network...long story short i did not owe them 34.00. so i refused to pay them.... talked to dish them about 8 months ago they said no problem would get it adjusted off my account....thought that was the end of it. When i found it on my report recently i called the CA, told them i did not owe it they said got it from dish, and even if i agreed to pay them in full they WERE NOT willing to delete from my credit report.....so i called dish and finally got ahold of someone who said, they WOULD adjust it off my account but that they could NOT pull from CA because it was a valid debt? I explained what i was told 8 months ago and they said no record of it!!!!! However they did agree and they did send me an email, with their name DISH all over it that says as of May 22, 2014, your dish newtwork account has a zero balance. Signed by an individual, with the title of Customer Service Specialist.
Question, I know i need to send a copy to all 3 CB's, but do i tell them the $34.00 is reporting incorrectly and have them remove it? Also for clarification the account number with Dish and the CA do not match (however on credit report it clearly says original creditor is dishnetwork). Also do send a copy of the letter to the CA as well telling them based on the dish letter i do not owe them or dish any money and to remove it from my credit report. Thanks

Wow unbelievable, i just posted this, and then got an email from score watch that a new collection was posted on my account, so i thought what the _ell is going on? Looked it up, its for guess how much? $34.00 it says original creditor is unknown, but it has to be the same $34.00 as above with dish network, but this is not the CA that listed it in March 2014, what would you do?
