CA "Account settled" in their system question.

I'm in the midst of paying off a c.c debt through a CA. The report was started back in April of last year. My question is or are, if settled, how will it be viewed on my report? Example, we agreed to pay half of what I owe. My concern is that the payment that we agreed to will show as that. That I don't want, because imo, it doesn't look good. I'll be calling them tomorrow to clarify this written letter.

Account settled would look worse to an UW. You could ask that it be listed as PIF, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Actually I'd ask for a PFD first, then if no, go for the PIF.

What's UW? Yeah I've already tried PDF, but they said no. I agree regarding the PIF.
