So I had a auto loan with CIG Financial (Irvine, CA) back in 2012. The car was fully paid off in 2014, but there was only one 30 day late payment at the very end. I called them yesterday and asked if they would be willing to remove this late payment and they said no. So my question is do you guys think I should send them some GW letters? Has anyone had any luck getting late payments removed with them? The guy said I would have to file a dispute and they would only remove it if the late payment was invalid (it's 100% valid). It's literally the ONLY late payment I have on my file. I've had 100% on time payments since then.
