CO's falling off

I have 2 CO's from CC's and both are falling off in 9/08 according to my TU credit report from annual credit report.  I have two questions: 1.)  Will my score go up when these fall off? 2.)  What day of the month in September will they fall off?

Re: CO's falling off

Are the COs paid? Any other bad stuff on your reports and how old? How long is your credit history? How many accounts do you have in good standing? Do you have high util on your CCs?

Re: CO's falling off

No, the CO's are not paid.  I have another CO with AMEX for 229.00 which I am going to pay.  I have a few collections that I am currently working on.  My credit history is over 10 years.  I have a first premier credit card for 275.00 which currently has 180 on it because they just billed the annual fee for 48.00 but that will be paid down by the time the bureaus report again.  I also have a Conn's intallment that I pay on time every month since 2/08 never been late. I also have some other accounts that are positive but are paid in full.

Re: CO's falling off

So long as these COs are NOT your oldest accounts, you should be well-over 600 when they fall off. There is no set day of the month when baddies drop off, it could be any day in September.

Re: CO's falling off

I had 1 CO drop after 7 years (unpaid) and got over a 50 point jump

Re: CO's falling off

I hope the same thing happens to me.  I am just excited knowing they are about to come off at some point next month.

Since your TU score is 554 and you have no other baddies, your score increase could be quite high...even higher if you have your CC paid down to < 9% util. Are you sure there is no other bad stuff, like lates?

Let's say you have an old CO, almost 7 years old, and the rest of you accounts are less than two years old, once the CO falls off of your reports, you lose all of that history. Your new credit history is now two years old.
