Can you get Transunion to remove the phone number listed on the CR?

Just wondering.  The number they have listed is a old phone number that has been disconnected.  I do not want the phone number to be listed on the credit record anyways.

It is possible if you request it, but if a creditor still has the phone number in their system, it should update and revert back to the old one if you were to ever get it fixed. Same goes for addresses and names.

BTW, my phone number is wrong too and plan to keep it that way.

Wouldnt you want your home phone listed on your CR so future credit card apps could verify?

By having a number on your CR anyone that pulls it, including CAs, will have access to it.

Verify what?  If you are applying for credit, a phone # won't be verification enough for a $10.00 loan

They come & go like the wind....especiallycell #'s

When I app, I do give my correct number. But I never had a verification issue when they pull my CR.
