Words cannot begin to describe how grateful I am to Capital One and this forum. I've only been working on my credit for 3 1/2 years as far as debt reduction and increasing my buying power. But I never thought I could explore options to get my past lates deleted. I had a few rough years that lead to permanent mistakes won't get into it but I came to report a successful Capital One Goodwill credit reporting. My scores increased from 674 to 714-720! I'm in the market for a new car or lease so I'm so glad I waited as I now have more bargaining power. My credit card offers in the app now show Amex, Chase, Citibank. It's so awesome!
All I did:
- Paid $4800 of debt off of my overall balance of $9800
- Initated a Goodwill request by phone & email to Executive Customer Service office February 2021. Lates were from (1)2014(1)2015(2)2016
They denied me a couple times at first over the phone but I was really nice & humbled. It helped that my story was actually sincere and I wasn't trying to deny my part in it.
I'll probably go with them for my car approval as NCFU denied me at the time I initiated the goodwill request. I signed with them but they denied my loan due to the delinquencies.

Congrats! It's nice to see stories like this that (even though you stumbled a few years back) are done the RIGHT way and not a simple "I was never late, etc dispute hoping for the best"

Thanks @DebtStinks it does feel good. Experian on MyFICO app hasn't updated yet but when I log in to the Experian app I can see the changes with that score. Guess it will update on MyFICO soon. If I buy a new 3B report will it show me my revised auto & mortgage scores?

@SupaWmn41 Yes, buying a new report will give you the most updated report and scores. If you already have the Premier $39.95/mo, you'll get your updated report and all scores on the next update which should be 30 days after your initial purchase or last update.
