Re: Capital One ... :(

Did you call 800-889-9939 or 800-625-7866 and speak to an account specialist?

What is the situation? Killing you with a CO collection on your credit report? Or killing you by denying you a credit card?

Experian: 789 FICO (4/10/12) Lender Pull
Equifax: 695 FICO (1/10/14) MyFico

My cards: Chase United Mileage Plus 7000CL (3/12), CITI Simplicity 1800CL (9/12), Cap1 Platinum 1000CL (2/10), Cap1 Cash back 1500CL (11/11), Apple Barclay's 2500CL (11/11), Discover IT 6000CL (5/13)

My Primary Financial Goal is to put down my utl%.

Re: Capital One ... :(

It's been sold 3 times, no one wants to tell me who currently owns it. The current owner is not reporting it.

and every DV letter I found sounds so threatning that I think they will ignore my PIF/PFD request.

I just want to PIF/PFD/GW them. and I can't

I'm tired of calling and getting transfered. I don't want to wake the WRONG sleeping giant.

would an collection specliaist retract it as a right off and allow me to resolve it with them ?

Keep a DV letter short and sweet. Something like this is all you need:

"I pulled my credit bureau report, and I discovered that you claim I owe you a debt. Under FDCPA 809, send me validation of this debt."

"You claim I owe you a debt. In accordance with FDCPA, send me validation of this debt."

"I received your letter claiming I owe you a debt. Per the FDCPA, send me validation of this debt."

Be sure and send the letters CMRRR.
