Hello;
I notice that many credit repair organizations advertise that they are certified FICO professionals. I conducted my own due diligence and have discovered that the Certified FICO Professional program was previously offered by a company called AllRegs by Ellie Mae which discontinued the Certified FICO professional program about a year ago. I would like to learn more about the FICO scoring system and am interested in earning certification which demonstrates that I have knowledge regarding FICO scoring. I am posting this message to ask if FICO is currently offering any sort of Certification program??
I thought I would add a little to this since I had questions myself after seeing it appear so often.
The Certified FICO Professional consists of three one-hour video and a self-scored exam at the end. That's it. AllRegs is the training company owned by Sallie Mae and has since discontinued the program entirely. It was nothing more than a gimmick to sell courses and training to people who were desperate enough for any credentials whatsoever. There were a couple of big "press releases" about graduating classes when it first kicked off, but the bottom line was pretty obvious to anyone with a brain.
This is not to be confused with the SAP FICO certification exam which is something entirely different, irrelevant to most people here and an actual certification with merit.
