Charge offs and Collections removed mysteriously!

In 2017 I had 2 capital one cards charged off each had a balance of almost $7500 each capital one started out reporting the CO's then they sold the accounts to a collection agency and removed the original accounts fast forward I recently checked my reports and it shows that capital one and the collection agency removed the accounts from my reports without me paying or disputing the accounts are they gone forever can someone please help me wrap my brain around this.

Re: Charge offs and Collections removed mysteriously!

Not sure about the charge-offs being removed *BUT* the sudden disappearance of the collections could be that the CA sold the debt to another CA and that one will start reporting any time now.  Only one CA can report a bad debt at a time.

Hope this makes sense... if I'm wrong -- then you should go out and play the lottery since it looks you are definitely under a lucky star right now ;-)

Good luck!
