If sued and Chase gets a judgment against you, there is no time limit in place to limit collection. They could go after your bank accounts, garnish your wages, and take your tax refunds until the debt is paid in full.
Once you have either PIF or settled for less than you owe on your debts with Chase, you can start a goodwill letter-writing campaign to ask that Chase adjust your CR by removing the derogatories from your CRs, however, as much time that has passed, the derogatories might fall off your reports before you can get Chase to relent and remove them through GW action.
From what the OP said, this has been going off and on since 2012.
If they have not sued by now, they are never going to sue. The older something is, the less likely there will ever be a lawsuit.
Most OCs file a lawsuit within the first 12 months if they are ever going to do so.
After that the odds drop dramatically. Yes, it can still happen till the SOL, but odds are that it won't.w
Regardless, most defaulted unsecured debt just gets sent to collections for phone calls and letters.
Lawsuits are the rare exception, not the norm.
The OP made a mistake by making the small payments over the years.
In this case since they are obviously not filing a lawsuit, LeeMiro should just ignore the creditor and focus on deleting it with the credit bureaus.
I suppose the moderators will eventually have to decide if your multiple comments encouraging others to "game" the credit reporting system violate the forums' Discussion Guidelines.
"The only credit repair discussions allowed in FICO Forums are ones that exchange information on how to correct or remove real errors from your credit report – not accurate information that you want to get rid of because it may be negatively affecting your credit score."

Yes please mods it appears this new member isn't giving the most suitable advice
This thread is now locked. Multiple posts have been deleted from this thread for violating the Credit Repair Discussion Guidelines. As a reminder to all, it is against forum policy to advocate filing disputes to remove accurate information from your credit reports. The above guidelines state:
This is not the place to exchange “credit repair” advice that encourages consumers to provide untrue or misleading information to a credit bureau or lender for the purpose of raising FICO scores or otherwise improving credit ratings, credit histories or credit records. Such material may be edited or removed, and egregious or repeat offenders will be banned from future participation in FICO Forums.
