We sold our last house in Jan of 2016. The mortgage was with chase, and was closed the same month.
About a month ago 5 late payments popped up in 2017 and 2018 on that same trade line, only on equifax. Again, that house was sold in Jan 2016. Chase says they did not report the lates. I received proof from chase showing the mortgage was satisfied in 2016. While I was entering a dispute, equifax.com kicked me out and I have been unable to log back in due to account being locked. I have spoken with equifax to unlock the account 6 times, each time they tell me it will be unlocked, but never does. One agent did tell me it looks like the challenge went through, but I am unable to upload my proof. A week ago I entered a complaint with CFPB and heard nothing yet.
I have a few days off soon and was hoping to go car buying, any ideas on how to get this moving faster?
Any advice at all?
