Chase - to settle or PIF

Hi all!

I received a letter from Chase today from a CC account opened in 2016 that has been charged off but is still with Chase. I have a balance of $690.96 and they gave me the following options to get it taken care of.

1: Make one payment of $104.71

2: Make two payments of $52.36 totaling $104.71

3: Make monthly payments of $34.90 totaling $104.71

Should I settle or PIF?

Any help is appreciated!

If you ever want to have chase cards again without issue, PIF. They will hold that settlement over you for every application and CLI for a very long time.

Re: Chase - to settle or PIF

When I was going through my credit rebuild I would PIF as often as possible.

I had a much better luck with GW letters when something was paid in full.. Just my opinion.

Good luck!!
