Clarification of what date used for a CA entry age-off?

Hi all, im a little confused

I have an old HSBC account, DOFD is Aug 2006 and Trans Union shows its estimated to be removed June 2013. Zero balance

This account was sold to Midland Funding, record opened 10-2008. Trans union shows estimated removal date of Feb 2014

Does the CA record have to age off based on the original DOFD date? Or can it remain longer because it was opened later?

Also different bureaus show different removal dates. In the case of above, experian shows the removal date of the HSBC entry as Nov 2013.....5 months later than trans union?? Tia!

Re: Clarification of what date used for a CA entry age-off?

They should both be exclude around the same time.  However, if the DoFD was Aug 2006 the date of exclusion would be Jan/Feb 2014 not June 2013.  They age off 7.5 years from the DoFD.

Sometimes the OC accounts will not have the 180 days added and sometimes neither do.

The date the CA opened the account has no bearing when an item is excluded.  The CRAs come up with those dates based on information from the OC.
