Co-signed auto loan in wife's Ch.13 is paid off...should I dispute?

Hello all,

I have an auto loan through Chase which I co-signed with my wife that became part of her Chapter 13 in 2017. That loan stopped reporting/updating at that time, and wasn't on my radar. Fast forward to present, the car was paid off a few months ago, and I have received the title. My report however still shows the account in the state is was from 2017, reporting a balance of just over 19k. I am trying to figure out what impact is this having on my scores (my TU is around 20 points behind my EQ and EX, as it's only reporting there), and assuming that this is not accurately reporting, how I would best go about resolving the issue. Thanks in advance.

Welcome @MykulPHA

Get a copy of the final statement online that shows its paid off if you can. If you dont have access. Call and ask for the final statement. Then send it snail mail to all 3 CRA's certified with return reciept as a dispute. That should make it update to zero owed and PIF.

My posts are JMHO. My siggy is not to brag at all. Just sharing my experiences after learning here from rebuild to recovery after BK DC @ 540's.
