Coast Professionals $150 Overdue University Bill

Just found out that my $150 overdue bill with my University was sent to collections last week. I thought that it was part of what I had been paying off through loans, not realizing they were separate accounts (I've not really been paying attention, I'll be honest), and now I'm uncertain what I can do. I can't find much about them being pay to delete or not, and I've heard contradictory information about emailing the university to settle with them.

Is there anything I can do to stop this from ruining my credit score?

Not sure how old this debt is but I'd for sure reach out to your school and see if you can pay them directly and ask them to pull the collection back from the CA.

Have you checked your credit and is it on your credit report? If not, then pay it. If its on your credit report see if they will do a pay for delete. If not then contact the University and have them recall the collection.
