Collection Pay for delete settlement

Conrad Acceptance sent me a letter willing to settle from 7k to 2k and stated that the account will be deleted after they receive the check. I sent them a PFD letter. I will send them a check ASAP

Is it better to settle and have the collection off my credit report

Yes, it's better if the collection is off your report, especially if that's the only derog you have.

Yes that’s the only collection I have on all 3 report, everything else is 30-120 days lates from student loans from years ago.
