Collection account settled?

Back in 2006 I had a CC that was sent to a CA because I stopped paying the bill (I know it's not an excuse, but I was a full time student with no job and a real bad shopping habit). While I talking with the CA to get on a payment plan, they attempted to get me to settle the account for a lot less than I owed, which I did not want to do. A few months after setting up the payment plan with them, I paid the account off in full. I pulled my credit report recently, and the account is listed as settled. I'm not sure how to go about getting them to list the account as paid in full or if it is even worth the effort. Somebody please help.

Re: Collection account settled?

Once an account is COd....paid or unpaid.......FICO reads the CO only and the last report date.

I would leave it alone......settled means paid and will only help if a manual pull is done (motrgage or auto loan)
