I have two collection accounts both listing under the regular accounts section as closed/negative instead of being under the collections header, and today my lender tells me that these accounts are updating every month, which is probably why my "factors hurting your score" section keeps saying I have a recent missed/late payment even though I haven't had a missed or late payment since 5/2015.
My questions are: Is this hurting me? Is this something I should be disputing with the CA or CRBs? How would I go about articulating that if I do dispute?
If they are clearly being reported by a debt collector as opposed to the original creditor, it may simply be a formatting issue by the party who produced your commercial credit report rather than a reporting inaccuracy on the part of the debt collector.
I would first recommend getting a different credit report either directly from the CRA or via the government-sanctioned site for providing complete credit reports provided at annualcreditreport.com before asserting an actual reporing inaccuracy.
Can you post a screen shot of of the collection as shown in your commercial credit report?

Apologies for the delayed response. I can't upload screenshots from mobile, it would appear, and so I needed to get to a desktop.
Anyway, here are the screenshots.
Credit Management LP is listed under the heading of collections, as it should be. The Jefferson Capital and National Credit Adjusters are listed under Negative Accounts.
These screenshots are from the Equifax website.
It does appear to me that the reporting is pretty consistent across the 3 bureaus.
