YAY! Just received a response letter from Credit Control Corp for a PAID COLLECTION on his CRs. They will delete!! 
Guess they got tired of the 14 letters that Ive sent to them since December 15 and 6 emails to the CEO since January 7th..... 
WOOHOOO! Cant wait to see the score bump that he'll get before our app spree next month!

I paid them in the Fall and then started GWing in December. Harassed them a lot LOL . Then I got a letter saying that the deleted. This was for DH's CR. Very exciting for us.

GW == Goodwill. It's when you ask a creditor for an "Act of goodwill" for an adjustment to their records or deletion form the three CRAs.

Reading through this info will be SUPER helpful in decoding all of the posts on here and in starting the uphill battle for rebuilding.
