I've been waiting out 3 charge offs on my reports, knowing that they should fall off sometime this year or next, but not being able to calculate exactly when because the information isn't clear or consistent across my credit reports. A few days ago, the 3 charge offs fell of my TU report. I was surprised and elated, especially as it meant a 27 point lift. I am especially happy because one of the charge offs was from Target and they have been updating the charge off every month for years. My question is this: is there a sense of when I can expect the charge offs to fall off of EQ and EX now that they've come off of TU?? Also, Target is still updating on EQ and EX so I'm paranoid that they'll update on TU again next month as their office has never stopped updating, but will the credit reports really stop recording their updates once the time has expired? Any insight or thoughts appreciated. Overall, I'm happy with how my rebuilding is going, but EX has always been so low, would love to have the 3 charge offs drop off and finally see a bigger lift in my EX score. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip. Since I pay for MyFico, it never occurred to me to go to Annualcreditreport.com. I just did and I discoverd the chargeoffs are also off my Equifax report and it seems the DoFD was Dec. 2011. This was not clear on my MyFico reports, so now I'm just waiting for them to fall off my Experian report. Hoping the Target chargeoff doesn't pop back up. They've been very committed to updating my account every month for the last seven years. Thanks, again!
