Look bad? Not necessarily. If it's a 30 or 60 day late, it's a minor derog. They lose quite a bit of their sting after a year and don't really factor in after 2 years. Most often these accounts are doing much more good for your CR than bad.

That's a positive account that's doing nothing but adding to your AAoA. Leave it be as long as it will stay.
Only negatives come off at 7 - 7.5 years. Positive TL stay for up to 10 years, or longer, from the date closed.
Once that late payment comes off your SL, it will be positive again.
@guiness56 wrote:For starters, I would pull your reports from annualcreditreport.com. You get 1 free from each CRA every 12 months. Those have a 81 or 82 month payment history. They are also more detailed and accurate than the ones from a 3rd party.
Were you ever late on the SLs?
I agree with this annualcreditreport is much more accurate and detailed
IMHO i don't think its as bad as you think OP its just you looked at a 3rd party report
I am taking your advise and pulling up all 3 reports from that website. You are correct... it does show a lot more information then the site I am paying for! Im copying everything into MS Paint and saving every detail possible... this will take a long time!
Experian is showing 4 accounts in bad standing and 10 accounts in good standing. I wont bother with the good accounts but Ill post the bad accounts.

Since these are all paid, if they are collections ask in a GW to have the TL removed. If they only have late payments and are from an OC, send a GW asking for the lates to be removed.
