So Im repairing my credit with good faith and settlements, however some stuff is so far gone a few are in collections. For example I had a lease with an apartment complex that I broke due to the distance from her doctor. The apartment stated I'd be responsible for the months that the apartment was rented which at the end came out to 3000 more or less. When I attempted to make arrangments they had already sent it to collections which was about 5 months later. The company, phoneix recovery group, had the ammount for 13k due to breaking the lease. Time and time again I disputed it (the wrong way) and kept coming back as validated.
So I became proactive and contacted them via certified mail and requested all the documents they had to validate that ammount since it was obviously a lot more than what was told to me when I had left the apartment complex. It has been more than 30 days and havent recieved a reponse. I under stand there are other collections I am responsible for and am working on arraigments such as one main, an old payday loan, and a few credit cards. This collection is wrong, the ammounts are wrong, and It is the largest collection I have. The rest range from 500-1100 about 5 of them. What are my options, the company is being difficult to work with.
