Ive been fighting with Cap1 for a very long time. Here was my most recent post about it where we kind of came to an agreement about the account status:
"Not exactly what i wanted but it will help. My year long battle has resulted in the removal of 3 lates (4 total). They are removing a 60 day late and two 30 day lates from Jan 20112 through March 2012, respectively. I had previously got them to remove a 60 from Oct 2011. Score update in a week or so as they informed me they already sent updates to all three CRA. I really wanted Nov and Dec 2011 removed but we reached a compromise. Ill try to get those removed in 6 months "
Flash forward to today. I pulled my USAA triple CR update and this is how my account is now listed. They removed a 60 day late from my EX Dec. 2012 and didnt report anything for Oct 2012. I still have the 60 day late listed on EQ and TU. While Im happy to have it removed from EX, should I ask them to remove from the others? Do yall think it would rock the boat too much? Whats the deal with the greyed out box on EX? (It used to say OK)
I did notice one other thing. My account balance is lower on EX than EQ or TU. My guess is that EX updated its report before the others (they always seem to update quicker). Im hoping that in a couple days that the other two reports will also remove the Dec 2011 60 day late from their respective reports. Crossing fingers. The question remains though, if they dont remove should I call Cap1 or just let it sit as is?
The ND means no data was reported.
Its open. Its been in good standing for a couple of years now. I've got about 9 more payments then its paid in full. Ill pull reports the next couple of days. Im hoping TU and EQ follow suite and remove it.
How did you pull off the agreements on the lates they've agreed to delete so far? I have three Capital One accounts that are in good standing, except for two have two late payments last year when I was homeless and unemployed. They just denied (ignored?) my good will requests on those, saying only the information is accurate. Do you have a contact you recommend I speak with? That would be soooo helpful! It sounds like you are really getting somewhere with them, which is encouraging! Keep plugging away.
Ah, I see. Makes sense and sounds like a real pain. Yeah, I'm just trying on a good will basis personally ... I hear it's rare to have success with them on that basis, but possible.
It looks like EQ was updated today. They removed the OK from Oct 2011 and left Dec 2011 as 60 day late. Ugg. Should I call cap1 or just leave it alone?
