Did I wake a sleeping giant?

I had a citibank card which was charged off and closed.  I attempted to dispute this account and the results of the investigation came back as validated no change.  Instead of this showing up as CO it is now reported as DELINQUENT.

Can someone shed some light on what just happened?

Re: Did I wake a sleeping giant?

Is should still have collection on the report...but it can show DEROGATORY...not DELINQUENT...if the accounts have any lates or anything it can show up as derogatory...I have a few like that..especially if it's the OC reporting...

On what grounds did you dispute this CO?

I paid it in full and closed and moved out of state, but they stated that I had shortpaid it by $2 and that balance had carried over for 2 years.  I disputed this account as paid in full, and now this is the result?
