Does paying a different account Re age an old one

I was added as an AU on an American Express card and it has a “pay it” option where you can pay what you charged on the AU card.

I have a 10 year old charge off with Amex.

Will paying the current open card reage the old charge off debt from another card?

No.  The payment must go to the account to which it is designated.
