Duplicate Collections

  1. Can two collection agencies be reporting the same negative information and trying to collect for the same orginal creditor?
  2. Can the original creditor & a collection agency both be reporting negative information?

Re: Duplicate Collections

Are the accounts past SOL?

If past SOL, I would DV them all.

If not past SOL, I would try to pinpoint down who is likely to have the account now or who likely had it in the past based on reporting dates.
