I had a Home Savers Advantage loan from Fannie Mae that was serviced by Dyck O'Neal back in 2007. When I sold my house as a short sale in 2009 this loan was supposedly paid by the first bank, but one year later I got a letter from Dyck O'Neal that I own 1,000 dollars which the bank could’t cover. I made arrangements to pay them $120 monthly to pay the amount off but after 4 payments the loan was transferred to SRG. When I asked why, I was told Fannie the owner transferred the loan. I paid the loan off last November in full but Dyck O'Neal will not update my CR as paid in full unless I file a dispute with the CRA. I spoke to one of their agents today she told me they would update as PAID CHARGE OFF after they receive the update from SRG that it was in fact paid. my question is should I leave this alone? Call Fannie or SRG. What should I do? I need advice please.
