Good morning all,
Had a question, I am helping my husband rebuild his credit which is terrible. Medical collections, credit card charges offs, and a repo.
I did have a question about Early Exclusion. I know TU is 6 months, Eq is 1 month and EX is roughly 2-3 months. My question is, it is that from 7 years or 7 years and 180 days?
Also, is it better to call and speak with someone about the EE vrs disputing online?
He has about 5 accounts that are all 6 years 7-9months and would love to see these disappear before hand. We are in TN but many of these debts were obtained in NC where the Statute of limitations is 3 years.
I have already PFD a ton of collections on his report that were medical or utility bill related and have seen his scores increase. I have also paid several of the charged off credit cards that were charged off 2-3 years ago and ready to put some age on those. He did get approved for a Credit One card, he burnt pretty much every secured card option available and I have added him as an Authorized user on several of my cards.
Thanks!

For all the ones I got, I requested based on the 7 year mark for DOFD. TU was the easiest by far and I have done all those online. The other ones its best to call. EQ has been a pain for me on these, but the other ones have been painless.
Thank you both!! I will start the process to get those off now. This might give a few increases as they are still reporting monthly. :-) YAY!
I've done several with all 3. The best way is to call and say "Hello, I'd like to speak to a supervisor because I would like to do an EE and I understand that they are the only ones who are able to do it." This avoids a lot of the 1st line reps asking for tons of info. They will generally ask for your name/ssn and verify you and then transfer you to the supervisor.
In my experience they delete the account while you are on the phone and inform you that you will receive a letter in 7-10 days.
Good Luck!
