Effect of a 3 year old 90-day late payment

Is there any way to tell how much (if at all) an old 90-day late payment is hurting my score?

The account never went into collections and has been paid and closed for 3 years.

On Credit Karma it doesn't show under "Derogatory Items" and my payment history says 100%, but on some other sites it shows up under "things negatively effecting your credit."

No way to truly tell.  It does hold back your scores though.  Try to get it removed.

Agreed, it's impossible to pinpoint exactly

However, since it's been so long and everything is paid the old vendor might agree to delete in Goodwill or very likely not bother to challenge a dispute of it's accuracy.... again may not change your score much as the neg effect stings less with but because it's slotted in neg categories why not try to zap it.
Good luck

Monthly delinquencies greater than a 60-late are consider to be a "major derog," and place you into a less-favorable scoring category ("bucket") until all major derogs have been removed.  Unless you obtain voluntary deletion by the creditor, it will remain for 7 years from its date of occurence.

It is thus significant, and worth the effort of a good-will campaign to obtain earlier removal..
