Equifax/Transunion Canada late payments

Does anyone know how long these agencies report late payments for? If I pay everything on time for two years will that wipe out the latest or am I stuck with those for six years?

In the US, the Fair Credit Reporting Act determines how long a late can report (7 yrs). But that's US law. I don't know Canadian law, but I imagine they have a similar setup. You could also call the CRA or look on their website (each of the CRAs talk about limitations on the US versions).
